| About Me | For the past few decades I have sailed extensively in the Gulf Islands of British Columbia, as well as other coastal areas of Vancouver Island. My early sail training took place in the Baltic Sea in Germany and the Danish Islands. While I consider myself to be an intermediate-level sailor, I have completed both the Canadian Yachting Association's intermediate and advanced coastal cruising standards. I currently work as a skipper (12 passengers) for Victoria Harbour Ferry Co. and hold the Marine Emergency Duties (A-3 non-pleasure craft) and VHF certificates. I am available as crew worldwide on short notice. However, from March to October I may need up to six weeks notice to book off work for an extended time. I prefer staying in local waters from May to September. | ||||||||||||
